TanaSue Carpenter, CFO of Annex Brands, Inc., Honored as One of Top 50 Women in Accounting and Finance in San Diego County

(San Diego, Feb. 6, 2023) Annex Brands is pleased to announce that on Jan. 30, 2023, TanaSue Carpenter, Chief Financial Officer (CFO), was recognized as one of San Diego County’s Top 50 Women in Accounting and Finance by the San Diego Business Journal (SDBJ). This recognition was created by the SDBJ to support outstanding executives in accounting and finance by publicly acknowledging their contributions to the community of business.

This recognition comes after Carpenter was promoted to CFO in December 2022 and made company history as the first woman to hold this position, formally replacing Patrick Edd, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), who had been functioning as the company’s CFO since 1997.

“This honor means a great deal to me, and further empowers my mission to not only mentor other women in the company, but lift them up and provide guidance,” Carpenter said. “I hope to be an example that if you push yourself, you can reach your goals.”

Carpenter joined the company in June 2012 as the Director of Accounting, and in 2018, was promoted to Executive Director of Finance & Controller. She was promoted again in November 2020 to Vice President of Finance, before being elevated to the position of CFO. As a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the State of California, as well as a Certified Franchise Executive (CFE), TanaSue handles the design, implementation, and supervision of all accounting functions and systems for Annex Brands.
